Coaching

One-to-One Support for IC Pros

At Internal Comms Mastery, we have worked with companies, teams and individuals worldwide, transforming their performance, unlocking their potential and helping them chart a more confident course towards their goals. Moreover, we firmly believe in the power of coaching to transform not just careers, but lives.

Back in 2011, our founder was stuck in an in-house role and didn’t know what her next step should be. Then she began working with a coach who helped her find a way forward.

The effects on her career were startling. As a result of the insights she gained, she went on to develop an interim IC practice that thrived, shortly afterwards fast-tracking her into a Director-level role with a FTSE 100 company.

More importantly, having understood its value, she trained as a coach herself. With her new skills she improved her own teams’ performance and helped leaders to develop their own unique communication styles. Every time, it helped unlock new and previously untapped potential in the organisation.

How can a coach help you?

The right coach will help you get clarity about your aims and objectives, identify the barriers to attaining them and help you work out a plan. With their support and guidance, you’ll develop the skills and mindset to navigate career transitions smoothly. They can also equip you to claim your position at the table with self-assurance. Along the way you can expect to build your confidence and resilience. In other words, they’ll help you step up from being a good internal comms practitioner to a great one.

Still wondering if coaching is for you?

There are lots of common misconceptions about coaching. However, we can help.
You probably work 40 hours (or more) each week. That means for most of your week, you may be working hard for someone else in a way that isn’t necessarily benefitting your career. So if you can spare one hour, you can start to work smarter and begin transforming the other 39.
When people start using a coach early on in their careers, it can seem a high cost, but it also represents a significant investment in their future. If coaching can help you identify your skills, give you a new focus and provide a framework for moving ahead, there’s every reason to believe that it will soon help you increase your salary or day rate. If you see coaching as expensive, consider: how much will it cost you to stay where you are?
Not true. Coaching helps anyone clarify their objectives and how best to make the a reality. In other words, the earlier you start working with a coach, the better.
We believe that every leader at every level can benefit from working with a coach. We work with senior executives across a range of disciplines and every sector from banking to pharma and from FMCG to tech. What they have in common is the desire to be more effective leaders.

Working with a coach really can make all the difference to your peace of mind and to your career development.
